Styline (www.stylinecollection.com), the leading modest fashion marketplace in Bangladesh, is looking for fashion design talents to set the next generation trend in modest dress designs.
JOB NATURE: Freelance (may lead to part-time/full-time opportunities in future)
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conducting market research to identify new trends, fabrics and techniques, and seeking design inspiration
- New product designing and sample development
- Liaise closely with sales, sourcing and production teams on an ongoing basis to ensure the products suit the customer, market and price points
- Participate in meetings to discuss designs and line development, and present and review line and concepts regularly
- May need to travel for research and product development
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion or Art and/or 1-2 years of practical experience in Fashion Designing / Garments / Boutique
- Must have a highly creative and aesthetic mind with up to date knowledge of latest fashion trends related to designs, fabrics, colors and shapes
- Must have an extraordinary eye for Color, Texture and Pattern
- Must have a Portfolio (We will evaluate your prior works as samples during interview session)
- Ability to create or visualize an idea and produce a design by hand or designing software
- Should be skilled in tools like Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
- Knowledge on designing modest dresses like Abaya, Borkha, Khimar is a plus
- Excellent communication skill and the ability to act as a liaison between different departments
- Must be detail-oriented, computer literate and able to handle multiple tasks at once
